Loving your neighbor

I have a neighbor who is ill. Her birthday is coming up in a few days. She says she has the flu. It’s not fun having a birthday while one is ill so I put together a basket to help her feel a little better. I made some chicken noodle soup, added a sleeve of saltine crackers, as well as a mug with herbal teas (and a bottle of honey) that are easy on the stomach. I made up some electrolyte drinks in the water bottles for her. I also tucked some other goodies underneath the get well items. She really liked it. I was glad to be able to bless her and bring a smile to her face. We could all do a little something to be a blessing to someone even if it’s just a small jester.

No prophecy of scripture is…

2 Peter 1:20-21

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

Homemaker’s Creed

I wonder if this creed is available somewhere to hang on a homemakers wall. I love the old ways and reminders of old-fashioned life when times were much simpler and homemakers weren’t looked down upon.

Welcome to my home

Hello and Welcome to Content at Home! I’m so glad that you stopped by for a visit. For anyone who doesn’t know, let me start by saying I’m not new to blogging. I have being around the blogging world since 2008. I started out blogging as a home educator. My son is now a grown man and I don’t have any other children to homeschool. I also started a second blog talking about random things in my life. During that time I was also reviewing products and writing reviews. I really loved doing that. I took a long break due to life. Now I’m back and starting up again. This blog is just a fresh start for me to share my life as a follower of Christ, a Christian wife, mother, and homemaker. I hope you enjoy visiting and getting to know me.

Before I go here are some interesting facts to know about me:

Green, brown, and Mahogany are my favorite colors.
Fall is my favorite season of the year.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holidays.
I love being frugal, cooking for my family, drinking herbal teas, organizing, and learning new things.
To me the best times ever is when I’m spending fun times/making memories with my family.
I have my silly moments (just ask my family).  Life around here gets crazy but I strive to keep on top of things as much as possible. I just want to live each day for the Lord and continue to grow to be the woman God created me to be.

Again I want to thank you for coming here to read my new blog. Go on and grab yourself a cup of tea, coffee, or whatever your favorite beverage may be and lets chat a bit 🙂
