I love learning about Biblical Womanhood from older but wise women. I’m very careful who I let in my ear because I want what I’m being taught to be only what God’s will is for me. He has already laid that out in scripture. As a young wife and mother I had no one around to teach me what that was. None of the women in my family want or desire to be biblical women. Even in church it was hard to find older women who fit within the Titus 2 description.
It took lots of prayer and searching. I’m thankful that God eventually led me to older wiser women online and later at a different church who I could learn from. We must bend to the will of our heavenly Father. We must embrace the roles that God has designed for us women no matter what the culture says. We are not our own if we are professing believers. God has a plan for His children’s lives. Not our will but His will be done in us.

When I was a young wife and mother I had no older women either to teach me Biblical womanhood. It was all about having a career and not being tied down to motherhood. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the ministry of Above Rubies and Nancy Campbell that I found out about the importance of being a godly wife and mother. I miss going to the Above Rubies retreats now that my girls are adults. We all enjoyed them so much.

Regina it saddens me to see the constant push to be somebody in reference to being outside of the home to have a career and be involved in everything to make yourself known by everyone. So being at home to serve and care for your husband, children, and home is being a nobody? I’m glad God doesn’t have this low opinion of women operating in their God given roles. I get that women of the world are ignorant and hostile to God’s way. But women in the church ought to be ashamed of accepting this unbiblical worldview. I love listening to Mrs. Nancy and reading Above Rubies magazines!
